You Have To Solve Your Own Problems

You can’t buy abs

Well, not yet at least.

At the end of the day

You can only control what you do, and what you say. When adversity comes knocking no one can decide how you show up other than you.

We live in a world where we want the quick fix, the 60-day challenge, the pill that solves all of our problems and that’s what society has told us.

And then we wonder why we’re not satisfied, why are aren’t happy…. Why we’re depressed.

YOU are the only one that can solve your problems

Not because they can’t be solved with money or the pill but because it won’t change you and make you better unless you put work into it. Effort, and discipline, and yeah maybe a little struggle. Hopefully a little struggle… Don’t we all just want to be a little better?

Ask for help

Quit, take a break, whatever you need to do in order to learn more about yourself and what can make you better. Above all, try and give yourself a little grace. We can all use more.

We’ve all been asked what your 1/3/5 year plan is.

Make those plans, and then ask yourself “what it take if I had to accomplish all of these in 6 months”. Maybe that seems daunting, but it’d bet it’s still possible. Maybe that’s unrealistic but instead of 5 how about 3 years? or 2? or 1?

We as humans have a natural tendency to ebb and flow. The seasons change and progress is not linear, but the longer we work and the more progress we make when we zoom out at where we started, theres no reason it shouldn’t look linear. And upward, ya know, progress, hooray.

ask yourself

“how am I complicit in creating the conditions I fear” and what are you going to do about it?
