Getting Out Of Bed Is Hard
Your alarm goes off, and the last thing you want to do is get up.
People love to say you make time for what’s important to you
What most don't understand is the time you spend preparing is far more important.
I think we can all agree that we feel better after working out, or checking something off our to-do list, or accomplishing a goal. At least I hope you do.
Unfortunately, Society has taught us that you are less unless you do more.
So why not game the system?
What if I told you that you’re significantly more likely to get up and workout if you laid out your clothes the night before, if your breakfast was already ready. Every decision you make beforehand increases your chances of being successful in the future.
We apply this to so many areas of our life, our work, our spouses, our friends and family. It’s far too often that we forget about preparing to take care of ourselves.
It’s hard to give from an empty cup
You have to define progress for yourself. For some it may be lifting more, or running more. For some it can be just getting out of bed in the morning.
You deserve to reward yourself for setting your clothes out, for getting dressed, for getting in the car, and for showing up. Before any work has been done you have already won.
Don’t let society put a value on your progress
You are in control of what you do or do not do.
If you feel unmotivated, include those around you.
If you’re unsure what to do, ask for help.
If you fall down, get back up.
