Get Out Of pain By Working the opposite

Our Bodies Crave Symmetry.

Our hips, our knees, our shoulders

All of our joints work best in everything is just right.

Unfortunately, it is rarely ever “just right”.

Aches and pains are a natural byproduct of many things, and completely normal no matter how trained, or untrained you are.

The first thing you should do

Look at the opposing muscle. If the front of your shoulder hurts, look at your back. If your hips hurt, look at your butt, if your knees hurt look at your hamstring.

Overused muscles get tight. Whether you know it or not, there are plenty of things you may do each day that adds just the smallest amount to an imbalance.

Working the opposing muscle counteracts that tightness and brings balance back to the system.

If you noticed, in all of the examples there are pains on the front of your body. This is called your “Anterior Chain”. As humans, we tend to use those muscles more. Walking, sitting, driving, all of our daily activities of living contribute.

Knowing this, it’s common to be proactive in your training by doing twice as much “Posterior Chain”, the muscles on the back half of your body.

So give your back, butt, and hamstrings so love more and your body will thank you for it!
